Upload RPE Templates to DOORS Next Gen / RRC

Kevin Murphy (9621317) | asked Dec 05 '13, 5:50 p.m.
I want to upload a .dta file to RRC/DNG in order for users to run reports. One question I have, though, is how does RRC/DNG know what data to give to the .dta file? In other words, if a user exports an RRC module "Widget Requirements", and I want to put the module name "Widget Requirements" on the title page, how do I get RRC to do that? Is there a guide out there for doing this sort of thing? The documentation I could find seemed pretty light.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Kevin

The Report wizard in RRC supports the introduction of Rational Publishing Engine variables that are external variables. The below links will give you more information on how to create such variables which can later be used to accept values from the user from the RRC reporting Wizard to print Title of the document:

Refer to the section “Configuring Rational Publishing Engine variables for the Report wizard”
