ALM Licencing
Hello,
I installed JTS in order to probe in my Development Cycle, I read in the atached link that the Express-C version is free for 10 developers (Devs and QA I think).
We are 3 developers, 1 QA and 1 PM. How many users (reviewers or aprobers) should I have using the free license?
I am using Derby, I noticed that this license can be use with DB2, If in the future I want to migrate from derby to:
1. DB2 Express-C, is it free?
2. Oracle what should I pay?
Can I use RM for creating documents with express-c license?
Can I use QM with express-c license?
Thanks for your answer!
Accepted answer
Apache Derby3 (included), IBM® DB2® (Express-C available free)You should use Derby only for tests. Use DB2 Express C for real deployments.
I think the 10 Free Devloper licenses only provide you with read access to the other CLM tools, but I am not sure and I can not test it right now. They certainly don't contain Analyst or Quality Manager capabilities in RRC or RQM.

Hello,
As I could understand, Express-C only covers RTC (planing, source control version, etc.), but not creating document in RM or reporting defects in QA. Am I right?
If it is so, if I buy 1 licence for QA and 4 RM licenses for PM and Developers, can the other users approve documents, and see the rest of the ALM?
Thanks for clearing my doubts!
Yes, you can mix 10Free and other ALM licenses. Users that have valid RM and QM licenses also have access to RTC for working with work items. You should be able to figure out the rules from the download page of the products. Rules for mixing 10Free with other RTC licenses are noted at the end of the featured download page.
