Option to view the planned start date and end date through the viewer in eclipse
One answer
As far as I know, this is not available in the Eclipse client. There is a big push from users to use the web client as much as possible. It is hard and error prone to develop everything twice, I guess. So new features like formal planning, Gantt charts, road maps are only implemented in the web UI. The Eclipse Planning client stays to be capable of working, but many of the new features are unfortunately not available.
If you try to configure a plan view in Eclipse (formal project management) you realize that the planned start date pseudo attribute is not even available for choice. This value is only available by a calculation done in the formal scheduler and the attribute you choose is really only a calculated value and does not surface as real attribute anywhere,
