CLM Port 9443 Access

V Niranjan (12545173) | asked Nov 18 '13, 10:30 p.m.
Hi

How do different sites connect to the same CLM server via different ports (from within their sites).

For e.g. If CLM 4.0.3 is configured with port 9443 and is not accessible or blocked from within a site then how does one access CLM .

As a policy of a organization 9443 may not be accessible or not available to be opened. Then in this case how can CLM be used which is configured with port 9443.

A bit URGENT. Request to let me know.

Regards
Niranjan V

You should consider using Reverse Proxy deployment in your CLM topology and it would meet your needs.

 Niranjan,

You will need to understand what is your ultimate requirement, the link from Don is a good start but more likely you may want to consider renaming your server or installing your future instances on the standard ports, ultimately a reverse proxy can assist with clients that support it, like the RTC native client which supports and arbitrary proxy URL, but it tends to fall over if you just reverse proxy as the applications internal links are generated based on the public URL and will use the public URL port of 9443 embedded in cross project and artifact links making it difficult to navigate within the app even if you can get them there on 80/443.
