About repotools -backupJFSIndexes command

Yohko Tanaka (10523239) | asked Nov 06 '13, 7:44 p.m.
CLM 4.0 and later, repotools -backupJFSIndexes command is provided. This command makes it possible to backup JFS index while CLM is online.
Is this the only and supported way of backing up JFS index?
I mean, copying JFS index directory(not using the repotools command) while CLM is stopped is a still valid way of backing up?

Hi, that should still be the case. The new command is driven by the need to enable offline backup in the future. See https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Deployment/BackupCLM for backup considerations.
