Managing Users in RQM

Hi

We are using RQM,RTC v3.0.1.
Currently we want to create a team who only looks after managing users i.e adding the synched users from LDAP into appropriate project areas, assigning appropriate licenses and process roles, etc.
However, this team should not be able to modify anything else. They are exclusively for user management only.

Please let me know what is the specific permitted actions that needs to be assigned to this role.
Also what repository permissions that they will be assigned as jazz admin and jazz project admin have access to other actions as well.

Any information on this is much appreciated.

Best Regards
Rajat

You need to be in the JazzAdmins repository group to create users and assign licenses to users.  Being a JazzAdmin also gives you the ability to add users to project areas and assign roles to those users.  There is no way to configure permissions so that your user management team can manage the users but do absolutely nothing else.

Hi Rajat,
http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v4r0/topic/com.ibm.jazz.platform.doc/topics/c_permissions.html?resultof=%22%70%65%72%6d%69%73%73%69%6f%6e%22%20%22%70%65%72%6d%69%73%73%22%20 describes the repository permissions.  http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v4r0/topic/com.ibm.jazz.repository.web.admin.doc/topics/c_license_mgmt_over.html describes the client access licenses.  From the table, it looks like you'll need to assign Jazz Admins permissions to users who need to manage users.
