 A customer has Jazz installed in a sandbox environment and is asking the following question:

“Is there a process to ensure migration from the sandbox to a production environment? Or Should we be doing anything specific now to make sure that we could move data from the sandbox onto another installation later?”

Are there any documented best practices for doing this?  Or is our official recommendation that they shouldn't have any real project data in the sandbox environment?

There is no easy way to do this.
If it is possible to move your machine, you might check the section server rename in the documentation.
