Hi.  I would like you to advise me to resolve RQM test PDF report garbled character.

We encounter garbled character(Japanese) when we create PDF report on RQM.

We find the technical instruction to resolve this issue.
Tech Instruction No.1

We try setting "MS Gothic" on administrator screen.  But this is not resolved.  I think "MS Gothic" is installed only Windows.

This server operating system is Linux and find True Type font.  We set this TrueType but it is not resolved.

Have you seen this tech note?

Please note that in order for RQM to know which font to use, you must not only set up the right font for Japanese in your advanced server properties, you must also have your browser configured to use Japanese as its primary locale.  The PDF rendering engine won't know to use the font you configured for the "ja" locale if your browser says it wants "en-us" PDFs.

It appears you are running into PDF print show Japanese as ## on Linux (59004). However, this defect was fixed in RQM 3.0.1.4.  Can you confirm you are running RQM 3.0.1.4+?

Paul, we are running RQM 4.0.2 so I'm not sure why we are running into this.

Michael, thank you for your answer.  We set browser language value "ja" and produce PDF report successfully!
Again, thank you for your support!
