When using DB2 with RTC, or CLM, is it possible to perform incremental backup?
In this article, it says "Full backups, as opposed to incremental backups, should be performed, in order to ensure database integrity. " https://jazz.net/library/article/543 Does this mean we can use incremental backup function of db2, but it's not recommended? Or incremental backup isn't even supported? |

We have the new version of the article on the Deployment Wiki: https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Deployment/BackupCLM .
As long as you make sure to comply to all the other conditions you can use incremental backups. You have to just be able to restore a transactional safe DB content that is aligned with all the other DB's. Yohko Tanaka selected this answer as the correct answer
Comments Hello Ralph,

However - I did not find the link to the new article on this page.

Hello,
Based on this article, I would say DB2 online backups are supported.
Hope it helps,
Eric.
