Researching Error Messages

David Robertson (111) | asked Jan 27 '09, 6:36 p.m.
I'm having major problems installing RTCi. Is there any place I can go just search for error messages, symptoms and so on? I see tons of cafes, forums and blogs, but nothing with any search capabilities - do you have to read the title of each to see if it applies? Could get kinda hard as the volume increases.

Thanks to Google, I've found workarounds or fixes for most of the problems, but it seems like there should be something on one of the RTCi sites.

Just in case anyone knows the answer offhand, the question is what to do about the following error messages from the ./RTCi_JVM.qsh script in Qshell:
====== Create custom JVM property DB2I_JDBC with value /QIBM/ProdData/HTTP/Pu
blic/jt400/lib, if it does not exist ======
WASX7017E: Exception received while running file "./RTCi_JVM.py"; exception i
nformation: com.ibm.ws.scripting.ScriptingException: WASX7077E: Incomplete co
nfig id: need closing parenthesis in ""

I had given up, cleared everything out and started over. Last time I just manually added the provisioning entries, but as the developer said in his script, it's pretty time-consuming and easy to make a mistake.

Thanks for any help or suggestions - Dave
