RTC 3.0.1/Insight 1.1 migration to RTC 4.0.3/Insight 1.1.1.2

Hi,

We are trying to migrate from RTC 3.0.1/Insight 1.1 to RTC 4.0.3/Insight 1.1.1.2. We have upgraded to WAS 7.0 fixpack 23 and DB2 9.7.5. Is this migration feasible and usually what are the common issues we can expect during the migration.

Appreciate your response!

Thanks,
Mini

This is feasible.

For RTC, see
 https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Deployment/DeploymentInstallingUpgradingAndMigrating

For insight system requirement, see http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27023704

Common issues are not having a plan and correct procedure of the migration. If you are new to upgrade, prepare test environment (clone of production) to verify the procedure, and then adjust the plan as necessary (such as announcement date, duration of planned downtime).  Also procedure should include fall back plan (i.e. return to original states when things go wrong).  I think the procedure is all described in the jazz.net deployment wiki page (link above).

I am cloning the test environment. The customer uses ldap but i want to was federated repository. Is there anyway I can implement the same?

See my answer on WAS Federated Realms on your other thread:
