RTC 4.0 : Unable to add shared report resource as widget on Dashboard

vishnudharan manivannan (1183742) | asked Aug 07 '13, 9:11 a.m.

Hi,

I have a burndown report resource which I need to replace with the existing sprint burndown template.
I have deployed this report in the shared resources and I am able to see the report as well(New_Burndown). Now I want to
add this as a widget in the dashboard. So I go to add widget>reports>Report(The 'Report' viewlet shows results for any selected report resource on the server)>add widget.
Now when I configure this report , I choose the dropdown for report however I am not able to find my New_Burndown in the list here.
Am I missing something ?

Kindly let me know how do I deploy this shared report resource on to the dashboard.

Thanks

Hi,

The "Report" viewlet only allows you to select report resources that are marked as being "micro" reports.  To indicate that a report resource is a micro report, add the string "micro" into its identifier field (so, e.g., "micro.New_Burndown", or "New_Burndown.micro" - it doesn't matter whether you add it at the end or the beginning).

Note that a micro report can only be used on the dashboard.  That is, if you go to the Reports menu -> Create Report from Resource, you will *not* be able to pick any of the "micro" report resources.
