Hello,
I successfully installed Design Manager 4.0.3. However, I don't find in the installer an option to install the Rational Software Architect Design Manager Import Engine, as documented here
Did I miss something? Is there a separate installer for the import engine?

It should be in "IBM Rational Software Architect Extension for Design Management - Clients" available under the "All downloads" page.

This is correct. The IBM Rational Software Architect Extension for Design Management - Clients zip: contains not only the RSA DM Import Engine but it contains as well the RSA DM Client Extension for v8.x and v9.x, the RTC clients bits (for eclipse, .net, shell ...)
