Request for Steps to customize the Description field of our RTC

Hello Jazz Team,

We would like to customize our RTC description section like the one we have in Jazz.net Workitems. The description editbox in jazz.net  Description in our RTC 4.0 Descritption section in jazz.net Wi Our RTC Environment expands vertically without showing  scroll bar and we would like to have the same in our environment too. Our RTC environment is 4.0 and Jazz net uses RTC 4.0.4 M2. I have refered couple of documents on RTC web UI customization and got to know that Web UI components are actually thin wappers against Dojo dijit editor. Please suggest how would I acheive the same in my Environment.  If required we are ready to  Implement the plugins to Dojo dijit but we are not clear about the extension points and deploymnet of plugins for the same. Kindly guide us to acheive the same. I have also attached the screen shots to clearly convey the usecase scenario.

Have a Great Day.
Looking forward for your reply.

Warm Regards,
RTC User.

If you see a different behavior on Jazz.net, then this is because we self-host on Jazz.net, so it runs the newest versions. At this point Jazz.net runs on 4.0.4M2. To get these capabilities, you have to upgrade to the version, once it gets available.

Although you can create presentations for RTC and enhance the UI, see https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/ContributingAttributePresentationsV2 , https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/HiJazzWebTutorial , https://jazz.net/library/LearnItem.jsp?href=content/docs/web-ui-programming/index.html , I personally believe you should not attempt to do that. The cost of doing it and having to maintain it, I believe, is not worth the effort.
