plan view Options not working when there is an embedded space

Using RTC 4.0.3 

I'm trying to add options to a customised plan view based on certain characteristics, but it only works if the attribute value does not have an embedded space.

E.g. 
"Colors RED type:Story" is fine but "Colors BLUE type:Technical Task" does take effect.
"Colors RED plannedFor:1.0.0" is fine but "Colors BLUE plannedFor:2.0.0 - Trunk" does take effect.

Any hints, or ways around this?

You must quote them after the : and end of string:

e.g.

plannedFor:'2.0.0 - Trunk'
