What you mean by value to use and value to display field in the value prompt?

Could you please read Cognos help to get some basic knowledge about it before posting your question? We are happy to answer your question but I think we should focus on the usage of CLM and you'd better to take some time on learning Cognos. I agree with Ralph that it is great that you can provide more context about your question.

OK, back to your original question. It is very clear listed in the properties panel of Value Prompt when you author reports in Report Studio of Cognos.
Use Value
Specifies the values used by the prompt object. These values can be different than the ones that are rendered to user.
Display Value
Specifies the values rendered to the report user when the prompt is used. These values can be different than the ones that are actually used by the report.
