Renewal of license of the Jazz standard edition server

urwashi sharma (3686) | asked Jan 01 '09, 2:40 a.m.
Can anybody help on steps that need to be taken to renew the jazz standard sedition server license.

DO we need any activation kit for it, which renews all types of licenses within the server or we need to obtain separate licenses for each type of user.

The Jazz standard edition server is going to expire and hence any link on this info will helpful.

Because you work at IBM, you can use the internal activation keys to
unlock you server using the keys available to employees.

I had taken following steps:

1) Uploaded Server License Activation kit 1.0 on the RTC server standard editoin1.0.1.This changed my server version to 1.0. There is no server activation kit available for RTC standard edition 1.0.1 on IBM XL site.

2) Uploaded Developer License Activation kit 1.0 on server.
3) Uploaded Contributor License Activation kit 1.0 on server.
4) This has reduced Developer Licenses to only 3 hence I tried to upload the floating developer license activation kit 1.0.1 available from IBM XL site. Then I got the following error:

Error uploading Client Activation License Key: CRJAZ1024I The policy file appears to be invalid....
What steps do I need to take now to get more developer licenses.

When using the 1.0.1 product, you need to install the 1.0.1 license
activation keys as well. There should be a 1.0.1 key available on XL, I
believe I have downloaded it in the past.

Hello Matt,

I believe the error below also comes up when uploading a zipped activation
kit.
If you donwload from the internal license page for extending customer keys
the jar is zipped. It is neccessary to unzip this and upload the jar file.
This might be confusing.

Ralph

I have uploaded the RTC 1.0.1 server activation kit, but it has limited the developer licenses to only 3........

How do we procure them, as we need atleast 50 licenses.????

After uploading the server activation key, you need to upload the client
activation keys as well. If you have uploaded the client activation key
and still have only 3 users, then you need to update the number of CALs
you have purchased on the license page of the admin web UI.
