open report hangs in RTC 4.0.3 64 bit eclipse client

Hi,

I observed the following  the 64 bit RTC 4.0.3 eclipse client on RHEL6:
after double clicking JKE Banking=>Reports=>workitems=>Burndown a view with the web client login appears,
after entering username/password the message "Loading" appears and stays there forever. This is the same for any other report.

In the 32 bit RTC 4.0.3 client and in the web client the burndown chart appears immediately after entering username/password.

Any thoughts why the reports appear in the 32 bit Eclipse client and the web client but not in the 64 bit Eclipse client ?

Hi,

The Following link: https://jazz.net/library/article/928/ provides some workarounds for this issue.

There are two ways to workaround this problem:
a) The recommended solution is to upgrade the browser on the Windows system from IE8 to IE9. For Rational Team Concert 4.0.3 and later, IE9 is the minimum supported browser version when running the 64-bit Rational Team Concert Eclipse client on a 64-bit Windows platform.

b) If you are unable to upgrade to IE9, you can also avoid the crash by editing the eclipse.ini file, located in the top-level installation directory for the client, and modify the path after the -vm argument by removing the javaw.exe from the end of the path. For example, if the original path is:
C:\IBM\RTC403\client\jdk\jre\bin\javaw.exe
it is changed to:
C:\IBM\RTC403\client\jdk\jre\bin\
