How is “Planned For” referenced through the product?

Michael Taylor (8865764) | asked Jun 26 '13, 8:45 a.m.

The available work item Query conditions list “Planned For”.

The editor presentation overview details lists the “Planned For (Iteration)”.

In the work item Reportable REST API, it seems to call the field “target”.

Are all these fields (listed above) referring to the same data element?  Is work item “Planned For” referred to with a consistent name throughout the product?

Hi Michael,
All the 3 fields above refer to 'Planned For'. The editor presentation Overview Details shows the type of the field "Iteration" next to the field name (but will display only 'Planned For' in the work item editor). You can also change the field name and it will be used in work item editor and work item query.

The field is called 'target' in Reportable REST API. I don't believe this field name can be modified by users.
