Purpose of 'Found In' field

What is the purpose of the "Found In" field.  How can I correlate defects with the corresponding iterations created in the 'Timeline' page.

'Found In' field is used to set the version where the defect was found in.
Example you found a defect in version 1.0 and the fix will be in 1.1, the Found In would be 1.0 and Planned For would be 1.1

Thanks Sandy.  I get this.

I also understand that the found in values are populated when I add strings in 'Releases' But I wanted to know how these strings in 'Releases' can be associated to iterations in 'Timelines'.

Praveen, You would need to associate categories to the Timeline and Team Area in the 'Work Item Categories' tab
