Drag and drop support for RRC

Canberk Akduygu (99237371) | asked May 16 '13, 8:22 a.m.

Hello,

I looked at Jazz.net workitems opened for RRC but couldnt find anything. I was wondering if drag and drop support for RRC artifacts will be supported in future release(s)? I think this is a must feature as every user is used to work like that in their filesystem and it's implemented in RTC's workitems.

And we had this fucntionaly in RRC 2.x as far as I remember.

This is something we are actively designing right now, with hopes of getting it in a future release.  The design team is focusing on drag/drop to re-arrange artifacts in a module first.  But we would also like to have drag/drop for linking, as well as moving artifacts from one folder to another.

Feel free to let us know if you have specific use cases that are important for you.  You can respond here, or comment in RTC.  The high level plan item is [RM] Usability Drag and Drop Support for UI (60393), which has links to finer-grained plan items.

My use case is just basic drag and drop functionalities. It is a "must" featureĀ from all my customers' point of view.

Thank you very much for workitem link. I'll be following the updates.
