Differences in load bars in It. Plan and Team Central

Hi,

RTC 1.0.1, Scrum template.

I'm seeing a strange issue in that a load bar for users in a forthcoming iteration that spans Christmas and New Year is showing different values depending on it is viewed in the iteration plan versus the team load view.

The iteration runs from 12/15 through to 1/2. Team members have entered their vacation details, and so various people have various different amounts of work time. Here's what the Team Load view in the Team Central tab shows:

http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/204132/teamload.jpg

The load bars here are showing the correct amount of available time according to peoples vacation and work assignments. Take for example the highlighted user - they are leaving the team before this iteration and so are completely booked out with a scheduled absence. It rightly says zero hours available.

Now, this is the iteration plan view, with the bar showing load:

Here, everything is inflated by about 20 hours. For example see the same highlighted user.

Anybody have any ideas why this would happen and how to sort it out?

Are you using RTC 1.0? This looks like

Has anyone seen differences for the loads by Owner information in the
Planned Items tab of an iteration plan between the Eclipse and web
clients? We're seeing much larger numbers from the web client than the
Eclipse client for the same user in the same iteration plan.

I guess it's not defect 59856 below, we're running 1.0.1.

We're still suffering from invalid progress numbers in the web client in
the Planned Items tab of the iteration plans. The numbers in the
Eclipse client are OK.

The totals at the top for the whole iteration plan are correct, and for
most of the team members, too. But some team member totals are wrong.

For example, in Eclipse, a total reads "Progress 25 / 25 +11 h", while
in the web client it is this: "Progress 766 /766 +306h"

Opening up the user tree shows the same work items in the list for both
clients. I've verified the same filters are used in both clients.

The server is running 1.0.1. I didn't find this problem in the V1.0.1.1
defect list.

I can send screenshots to developers if needed.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

Thanks,

Mark Ingebretson

We didn't fix the progress calculation for 1.0.x but for 2.0. This is
the reason your ongoing suffering.
