Create a metric TestCases covered by TestSuites

Georg Kellner (840481109) | asked May 14 '13, 10:49 a.m.
I was asked to create a new metric.
This should show, how many TestCases are covered by TestSuites or the other way: How many TestCases are not covered by TestSuites.

I didn't find a solution with the standard queries/dashboard widgets.

greetings georg.

It is easy for you to create a such Cognos-based report using RRDI.

JAZZ DEVELOPER
Hi Georg,

in http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v4r0m2/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.jazz.reports.doc%2Ftopics%2Fqm.html
you'll see that you could get directly get the test cases associated to a test suite.

For the reverse information, it's not available. At least directly.
This might require a little more thinking on how to elaborate this in RRDI.
Note that test plans have direct access to Related test suites and Related Test Cases.
But AFAIK transitivity of inclusion is not part of the RQM product design.
In other words, I don't believe you'll have test cases included in the test suites listed in the Related Test Cases list of the Test plan. When using the RQM GUI, this behavior holds true up to 4.0.3 RC1.

For a landing page around CLM reporting with RRDI / Insight (consolidating the kind of link provided above), you could refer to this blog post

Regards,
Stéphane
