How to add line breaks in stream description via command line?

I am having trouble appending newline character to the description. Any idea how this can be done?

scm workspace propertyset -r rtc_sandbox description "line1\n line2\n line3\n" $streamName

I could not find a way to do this easily, on Windows at least. Could you open a work item for this issue to track further investigation please?
