Retired assets - Request Permission link is available

When users tries to access the Retired assets, they get the permission request link. Is this working as designed or is this a bug? Users are able to click on that link and send permission request to community admins.
Since none of the users others than admins should have access to the Retired assets, it is wrong even to let users request the permission for such assets.
Please let us know what can be done in this case. Shall we raise it as a bug or enhancement?

This issue is with lifecycle assets. The main problem is that since non-admin users can't view such assets, they are getting a request permission link. Because of this community admins get unwanted requests asking for the permission to access Retired assets which unnecessary increase their work.

How did they the the URL to begin with, was it on the search result page?

As Gili asked, where did they get the URL?

The criteria for showing the request permission page is simply someone got the URL and went to it and they didn't have access. There is no distinguishing by state whether it should be shown or not. So if they have the URL it will be shown. This is no different than if the user didn't have access to any other specific asset.

However, how did they get the URL? It could of been they had it in the past and so tried again. But it should not of shown up in any search nor should it of been available as a related asset.
