Adding tags with the case sensitivity preserved

Sripriya Karimpuzhasriram (134752) | asked Oct 03 '12, 11:46 p.m.

Hi,

When I add tags to an asset, the case sensitivity of my tags is lost.

e.g when I add "Functional Requirements" it gets added as functionalrequirements. The alphabet 'F' and 'R' are no longer in capital letters after the tag is added.

Is it possible to retain the case sensitivity of my tags when I add them?

Please let me know!

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Sripriya.

It doesn't work that way. Tagging translates all inputted tags down to a canonical form. This is done because "Functional Requirements" vs. "fUNctional  reQuirements" are not fundamentally different for a user. If RAM treated them as different then users would get confused because they would see two tags that look almost the same and they wouldn't know which to click. The tag cloud would get even larger. Tags are presented to everyone, not just to the creator.
