Noification of New WI via E-mail or Outlook 2010 RSS?

We're in the process of transitioning development groups to RTC, and some folks have asked if they could be notified when a new WI has been created in a particular project. I looked at using RSS feeds to Outlook 2010, but using the RTC query URL doesn't seem to work easily there (likely authentication at the least).

Is there a way to enable e-mail notifications for individual users when a new WI has been created?

Thanks!

Hi Jason,

There is currently not a way to enable email notifications for individual users when a new work item is created unless they are added as subscribers to the work item.  If you'd like, you can add your support to this enhancement request: https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=177613.

Our development team uses feeds inside of the RTC Eclipse client and dashboards in the RTC web client to track new work items.

Thanks Lauren, I've added my support to that request.

Is there a way to get RSS query feeds to work in Outlook 2010 (i.e., outside of the RTC client and dashboard)?

I've never tried it myself, and that area of functionality is a little fuzzy to me.  Check out https://jazz.net/forum/questions/32431/read-rtc-feeds-using-an-external-feed-reader for more info.
