How can I make a BIRT report export directly to xls file?

Hello,

I have a BIRT report that extracts a large amount of data. Since all I want to do is extract the data, would it be possibile to configure the report so that it just downloads automatically instead of display first? I want to eliminate the manual process of having to click on the export button once the report has loaded.

Hi Andrew,

This is not currently supported. There's an existing enhancement open to request this functionality: I cant generate a report directly to excel without html preview (242201).
