Search within artifacts -> Topology

Hi folk,

I am using RAM (7.5.1.2 M2) to publish topologies from RSA (8.5.1).

My question is:
- Is it possible to find elements of a topology using RAM advanced search? Search within artifacts? How?

I tested with UML models and I can look into the artifacts, but no topologies.

I've been that "RAM" published two formatted files: *.topology and *.topologyv

RAM supports this file format for the search within artifacts?

Any help is welcome,

Jorge

If they're stored as XML you can try the following documentation.

See step 12 'Optional: Define how the content of XML artifacts indexes and displays in search results'
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/ramhelp/v7r5m1/topic/com.ibm.ram.web.doc/topics/t_config_types.html

See 'Search within XML artifacts'

Sheehan, thanks for the reply.

I'm using RSA to publish topology assets with the menu option Publish Topology/Asset... and the asset type property is set to Topology.

The contents of the published asset have two files with the following extensions: topology and topologyv (XML files).

I tested with UML assets types models (UMLActivity, UMLActor...) and I can look into the artifacts,

How I can know if the topology is stored as XML?

Post a sample .xmi of these here, and we can help you configure an XML rule

Hi Gili,

I downloaded the topology from defect 31563 Searching within XML artifacts.

Can you help me to configure the XML rule from the defect?

I tried to follow the sample and comments but I can not finding attributes on the attached artifact.
Thanks,

Jorge

Gili, the procedure I followed on Searching within XML artifacts.
