Bulk Retire Assets?

Dan Duce (2534645) | asked Aug 14 '14, 9:33 a.m.
I'm looking for a way to retire a group of asset all at once.  The group can be defined as a set of Search results.

The Bulk update feature does not have "retire" as an option, which is kind of surprising as it makes a lot of sense.

Is there any way, using the web client to bulk retire assets?

Hi Dan,

I think this is a new feature that RAM does not have at this moment, It would be great if you would liek to raise a RFE.

Thanks.

 When we say retire,
1. will the retired assets be removed from the application?
2. Would it save disk space?
3. Can the assets be brought back if needed in the future?

When we say retire an asset, then the asset is not removed from the disk. As a result there is no saving of disk space.
Secondly it is possible to get back the assets which are retired. These assets(retired assets) will be visible for the repository administrator. You can contact him to bring back them. Unless the retired assets are deleted they can not be brought back
