RTC unintelligible error message

Marc Haberkorn (111) | asked Feb 20 '13, 11:54 a.m.
I get the following error when setting the "assigned to" field on an RTC Requirement:

invalid UUID [https://nsjazz.raleigh.ibm.com:8043/jazz/web/projects/_HbFgALzAEd61-4HCZk2LZQ].

What does this mean?

A UUID is the unique ID of an object in the repository. The message indicates the object does (no longer?) exist. Can you open the object using the link? It looks like a UUID for a project, but I am not really sure.

I'm wondering if the issue is that I tried to set the "assigned to" field before clicking "save" on the overall Requirement.  The UI shouldn't allow you to do something that isn't safe to do, but I'm assuming this is a bug, not a design point :).

A lot of folks have seen this kind of error as a result of using an unsupported browser.  See this forum topic, and defect 236526.
