Experience with installing SmartCloud Continous Delivery
Hi, I am an internship student for Rational Services Germany, writing my Bachelor Thesis about DevOps and SmartCloud Continous Delivery in particular. For my thesis I will be examinating the maturity of today's DevOps tool landscape. Therefore I am interested in your opinion on the following questions:
- Which experience did you have when installing SmartCloud Continous Delivery? What were the common pitfalls?
- As how flexible do you experience SCCD in comparison to pure Free Open Source Software such as Puppet and Chef in conjunction with Jenkins CI?
- At this point, do you experience SCCD as mature enough for use in production environments?
- Are there customers using SCCD in their productive environment yet?
- Is there already an end to end demo environment to test a Continous Delivery Pipeline (maybe IBM internally)?
- As a Build Engine would you rather suggest using Apache Ant or Ruby Rake ?

Hi Sebastian,
On the development team, we'll be interested to hear your results to help improve our offering.
We have one adopter in particular who has provided some great feedback (available at Address feedback from setup/configuration experience report from SmartCloud Enterprise (251293) ).
As for production environments, we've specifically focused the first release on improving the Dev/QA/Verification cycle. Many of our customers indicate they're still hesitant to roll out into production or even unable to do so based on the organizational matrix/SO relationships.
