retagged Feb 15 '13, 3:00 p.m. by Douglas Bush (281●2●5) Hi, We have a trial installation of DOORS NG on a server for evaluation. The Web Client is working fine but if I run the rich client I get the error "'CKEDITOR' is undefined" after entering a username and password, it repeats this error couple of times and then a similar "'goBackContainer' is undefined" error appears. The application then starts-up OK but the errors reappear if I try to open any artifacts or modules. Hovering over artifacts in the rich client also shows a "Navigation to webpage was cancelled" error - could this be related? Presumably CKEDITOR is installed correctly as I can edit artifacts on the Web Client remotely and the Editor that appears certainly looks like CKEDITOR. To get the web client working I had to tell Firefox not to use the system proxy settings - would the rich client pick up the system proxy settings and if so is there anyway of telling it not to use the proxy? Any thoughts on what might be causing this would be appreciated, Ali |

Hi Ali,
I expect that you need to make the same configuration settings to Internet Explorer (i.e. not to use system proxy settings) to fix your problem. The rich client uses an embedded IE browser control to display html content. Regards, Doug. Alastair Beadle selected this answer as the correct answer
Comments Ah ha! Yes that was it. The IE network settings were using an automatic configuration script - turning that off fixed the problem. The side effect is that it cut me off from the Internet - still, as it is only a trial install I can switch between the two settings for now. I assume our IT department can reconfigure the script to to make both work at once in the event that we go for a full deployment. Thanks for your help, Ali
