Reconcile requisitepro requirements takes too long

Reqpro version 7.1.3.3

RQM 3.0.1.3

When we try to reconcile the Requisite Pro views from a Test Plan it takes a very long time.

As a test case we ran a Reconcile of a view which had around 5000 requirements and it took around 10 minutes to complete. In another case its not completing even after 40 minutes.

What is the ideal or baseline time to complete the reconcile of a view based on the number of requirements it include?

I did see this Article which points a similar issue for a version lower than Rational RequisitePro build 7.1.2.7.D120411. However we are on 7.1..3.3. Does this fix part of 7.1.3.3?

Hi Srikanth,

Thanks for reporting the problem, the typical response time for 1000 reqpro requirement reconcile is around 10 mins. But the response time might be slower down if the internet is slow; if the reqpro server response is slow, etc.

The article you mentioned in the description is not actually related to the problem you met. The article was trying to describe if your ReqPro server is lower than 7.1.2.7, then when you change the requirement in ReqPro, it might need 40 mins to make the ReqPro API reflect the change (means before the 40 mins period, when RQM invoke ReqPro, it will response RQM as no changes made).

Hope this helps,

Scarlett
