z/os source code data scan error

giuseppe ruggeri (3138) | asked Dec 03 '12, 10:07 a.m.
In RTC 4.0.0.1 environment ,  the z/os source code data scan  goes in error with errror messages for copy members:

2012-12-03 11:55:09,553 [  ccm: Reset Source Control Code Data] Error eam.enterprise.internal.metadata.scan,ScanMetadata - Exception occurred while processing file /MB/zOSsrc/P70CWSCO.cpy
2012-12-03 11:55:09,555 [  ccm: Reset Source Control Code Data] Error eam.enterprise.internal.metadata.scan,ScanMetadata - Exception = java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBounfsException
2012-12-03 11:55:09,557 [  ccm: Reset Source Control Code Data] Error eam.enterprise.internal.metadata.scan,ScanMetadata - Exception message = null

Initially we was thinking the problems was related to a given "copy"  and we 'remove' it in order to  complete the scan for  the all  the objects in this 'project area', but unfortunately we receive the same error for a lot of other copy cobol...

Thanks in advance and bye

Hi Giuseppe,

Please open a PMR for this issue to get assistance from support. You will need to submit the files that are causing the exception to determine why the scanner is not handling them correctly.

Hi Giuseppe,
