RTC task templates created in R3 don't work in R4

James Porter (26166) | asked Nov 16 '12, 9:11 a.m.
My team created numerous templates for tasks under stories in R3 of RTC. We've migrated to R4, and the templates no longer work. The team gets an error indicating a problem with "getAttribute()"...

What can we do to get these working again, short of recreating from scratch?

I would consider filing a defect. Maybe this is a bug.

I assume you are talking about RTC 3.x and not about a milestone.

Any news on that issue? We just upgrade to from 3.x to 4.0.0.1 and no template works anymore.

I deleted them all and recreated them from the 4.0.0.1 Eclipse client. But without success

I am also seeing this problem in Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer.  The errors are slightly different for each:

Mozilla Firefox:
TypeError: this._proxy.getAttribute is not a function.

Internet Explorer:
TypeError: Object doesn't support this property or method

We have recently moved from V3.0.0.1 to V4.0.0.1.

Thanks Ralph for your suggestion.  I have searched and found that the following defect has already been raised:

https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=239138

and that this defect has been closed in favor of the following PMR and APAR:

PMR 34391,122,000 and APAR number PM74115

However, I cannot find this PMR.

I have therefore added a comment to the above defect asking for the exact URL for this PMR.  I have also noticed that I am not the only user who cannot find this PMR.
