Stream Ownership

Enrico Savini (15911) | asked Oct 15 '12, 10:49 a.m.

Hi everybody,

our RTC environment is managed through Team Area under a single Project Area.

Project Area obiviously doesn't have any member cause every user is allocated under the proper Team Area.

Each Team Area owns and uses its stream.

We'd like to share a stream (promotion central stream) and we thought the best way to do it is to give the ownership to the Project Area. Wrong! When we try the "change flow target" to the shared stream we get a "permission denied". Details:

Problem
You don't have permission to Deliver [server].

Reason

In order to carry out this operation, you would need permission to perform the following additional actions:
Action: ID:
Deliver change sets

Where exactly we are doing wrong?

Your  "promotion central stream" should already be "owned" by a team area.  Every user who you need to deliver to that stream needs to be added to that team area and given the appropriate permissions.

Thanks Alex, you solved my troubles. I decided to create a new team area with all members that are responsible to make the promotion to the central stream. Not a perfect situation, for sure a "cleaner" situation!
