I like having the ability to define dependencies between tasks and stories when I'm planning my iteration.
It would be really cool if I could graphically view the dependency tree for a set of tasks/stories. For example, if task A depends on B, and B depends on C, it would be cool if there was a report that graphically shows the order that the tasks must be completed in; in this case: C -> B -> A would demonstrate that C should be completed first, followed by B, followed by A. This graphical report would make it easier to decide which tasks/stories to associate with a specific iteration. Does this type of report already exist? If so, how do I generate it? |

I like having the ability to define dependencies between tasks and Not sure if this is powerful enough for your what you are trying to do, but you could query for your set of stories, and enable the 'children' and 'depends on'/'blocks' relationships in the Work Items view (in the view's menu). Then you can expand the child nodes and follow the dependencies. HTH, Patrick Jazz Work Item Team |
