Import Story/Task into RTC 3
I have used the export feature regularly, but have never worked out how to import the story/defect/task into RTC 3. Is there a step-by-step instruction somewhere?
Other questions concerning importing:
1) Can I just use the exported CSV file and import it without using the "Custom Data Mapping"?
2) If I create the stories, defects and tasks in an Excel spreadsheet and then create a CSV
file out of it, do I just leave the "Id" column empty and import it?
I really would like to get this going. Any help, advice and suggestion would be much appreciated!

Leave the ID empty, and make sure that you do not select the "Update existing WI's" option when importing.
Try it out on a sample project first with just a few records so you make sure that you understand the entire process. |
