Migration from RRC to DOORS Next?

Rainer Hochecker (4175) | asked Aug 21 '12, 6:59 a.m.
Will there be a migration path from RRC to DOORS next?
Background:
An existing DOORS customer would like to start a new project but DOORS next is not available yet. They would start with RRC and then migrate to DOORS next.

Yes a team that starts in RRC will be able to move to DOORS Next Generation.  But it will not require a migration.

RRC and DOORS NG use the same RM application running on the Jazz Team Server.  On the server, license keys can be installed for RRC or DOORS NG or both.  Where both licenses are installed, a person with a RRC license uses the web client UI to work on the same data in the same project area as another person with a DOORS NG license.  The person with the DOORS NG license has the additional option of using the DOORS NG rich client.

RRC and DOORS NG use the same JTS and RRS Servers as well as the same web client. The big difference is that DOORS NG has in addition to the web client a rich client.

This help topic explains the difference between the 2 clients
