Can RAM be "friend" of RRC?

Hi,

We have RAM 7.5.1.1, Rational Requirements Composer (Jazz v3.0.1.2), based on RAM infocenter, I should be able to make RAM a friend in jazz based server, RRC in this case, I followed the configuration steps described in RAM infocenter to make RAM  a friend in RRC, both at RRC's ../jts/admin page and ../ccm/admin page, but got the same errors, shown below (ID CRJAZ1575E).

Another thing that puzzle me is I thought to be friend, both parties have to be a jazz application but RAM is not a jazz application hence how could this work or may be I don't understand what "friend" means.

I'm not familiar with RAM, but the text for error CRJAZ1575E is "An error occurred while requesting the root services document from server " ${0} ". Please check the URL and try again". Did you see that? What URL was displayed (substituted for "${0}")? The RAM documentation says, "You must have the root services URI for the Rational Asset Manager server. The URI is http:// host_name : port / Rational_Asset_Manager_context_root /rootservices . For example: http://example.com:9080/ram/rootservices ." Does your URL look correct? You should be able to put the URL into a browser and get back an XML document.

Yes John, I put the exact RAM url on a browser and it returned a well formated xml document.

We discovered this is a known defect in RAM 7.5.1.1, and it will be fixed in RAM 7.5.1.2:

This fix will also be ported back to a testfix in 7.5.1.1. See work item 70936 --> https://jazz.net/jazz02/resource/itemName/com.ibm.team.workitem.WorkItem/70936

If you are customer of RAM, you can contact your RAM L2 support person and request this testfix once it is available for customers (targeted for delivery in the next few weeks).
