Reports based on a particular intermediate state

Hi All,
Is it possible to report on a particular state referring to the history of state changes on a particular workitem?

Foe e.g. a workitem has been rejected twice, but the current status is closed. So, i want to generate a report on the number of items rejected - but based on history of actions - not based on current state. Is it possible to generate?
