Does WAS also support User accounts like tomcat?

I'm not familiar with WAS so I hope someone can enlighten me. In the CLM suite trial we did, we used tomcat.

Hi, you can use local users and groups with WAS. See some articles below. However, this would require you to maintain the users and groups directly in WAS. You can't, like in Tomcat, just create users in RTC, you have to do it in WAS first. I find it tedious and would suggest looking into using AD or one of the free LDAP servers available. Or stay with Tomcat, if it is just a small deployment. You can go to LDAP and WAS later, too.
