as we start to look at tools to help us maintain our project support model, we extract the process source, xmldiff against our master template, and save any diff, so we can reapply..
looking at the master sources, there appears to be a 'problem'.. in the 3.x model, there are 8 sections which have a 'final=' attribute, and this tracks to the configuration editor final check boxes. in 4.0, with the addition of the email templates, I would expect to see 9 sections.. but there are only 6! however, if I set the final flag, save the project, rest off, and save the project, then the xml shows the "final=" attribute. and now we have 9. this will cause a problem with our process area maintenance tool.. is this intended? hm.. I see there are 12 sections in the 4.0 editor which have final checkboxes.. |
One answer
Hi Sam, yes, the lack of the "final" attribute is the same as "final=false".

Or is the lack of 'final=' the same as final="no"? just an xmldiff will be confused... (not right term.. does work for no reason)..
