DOORS NG: Preferences to configure SQL Database

Jignesh Jiyani (122) | asked Jul 05 '12, 12:52 p.m.
Configuration:
DOORS NG 4.1 Beta 2

The install guide does not specify whether the SQL database should be local on the application server, or can be on a remote server. The client's preference is to set up the database in their shared SQL cluster if they can eliminate the need of installing SQL on individual application servers. They believe the DOORS database can be hosted in one of their SQL clusters.

Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Jignesh

Hi Jignesh, I've passed your question on to the server team, who will be able to give guidance. I will also pass your feedback on so that the answer can be added to our install guide.

Regards

Marie

The database can be installed anywhere the DNG server can connect to, so it does not have to be located on the app server specifically.
