Is it feasible to have both RRDI and Insight running on a single install of CLM. Ideally we would like to run RRDI reports for JUST CLM based reports and Insight for Integration with Doors and Focal Point reports.

If this is not feasible can you point me to an article that point to porting current RRDI reports onto Insight and any additional steps in data access or porting.

It is possible, but I'm not sure why you would want to do that.   Insight is a strict superset of RRDI.  RRDI reports can be run from Insight.  There is a documented process for upgrading from RRDI to Insight.  When you set this up, you need to configure the data warehouse with both CLM and Insight, so they can create their respective schemas.  Do NOT run the Data Collection Jobs in CLM.  You must use the Data Manager ETL supplied with Insight.

If you do want both, you'll need to have two data warehouses.  The one for CLM/RRDI will be loaded by the CLM Java Data Collection jobs.  The Insight Data Warehouse would use the Data Manager ETL.  Note that you'll be extracting data from CLM twice, so they'll be additional load on your CLM servers.
