Using Alternative port when installing DM 4.0 RC2
We are trying to install DM 4.0 RC2 on a server that already has another JAzz server at port 9443.
We have tried to change the port for the new server as suggested in: https://jazz.net/help-dev/dm/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.rcam.install.doc%2Ftopics%2Ft_install_rsa.html&re=1&scope=null .. but have not had any success in starting the server at the new port. Has anyone any suggestions/experiences from using alternative ports? |

is it with Tomcat? if there are no conflicting ports, you may then check the jvm settings for the startup scripts - values for Xmx, Xms, and Xmn cannot exceed the physical memory of your system. If they are too big (especially when running 2 tomcat instances), lower these values. Save it and relaunch startup.
Comments Thanks for your help. yes, memory may be a concern. I stopped the other server but the problem is still there. Checking the logs most seems to be OK, but there are some exceptions (see below) which maybe are harmless, maybe serious. Anyway, still after starting it I can not access it at https://<hostname>:9444/jts/setup after starting it.

One of the problems turned out to be a firewall problem preventing access to the alternative port. When that was solved we could configure the server, which worked quite well, even if we experienced quite some of the problems others have experienced before us (Strange error messages, time outs and more)
