Automatic mapping of Test Cases to Business requirement
Hi,
In RQM we have seen that using a keyword XLSLink we can link TestCases and TestScripts. We have yet another request for automatically mapping the test cases to Business requirement at the time of importing Test Cases. Scenario: Can Individual testcase in Excel file include Business Requirements in a particular column, and while importing testcases can we associate requirements with testcases ? Note: Similarly we saw that for establishing an association between TestPlan requirements is not currently supported. |

Hi @amavila,
if you are using the ExcelImporter 4.0, you can refer to the sample "TestPlan with TestCases 001 linked to requirement 001" to link test artifact with requirement. Hi, |
Hi @amavila, Hi, The latest version of RQMExcelImporter is RQM-Extras-RQMExcelWordImporter-3.0.1.3 I don`t think 4.0 is released yet. I was referring to the same sample config file and could see that only requirements got imported into RQM and didn`t got linked to either Test Case or Test Plan. I am copying the lines which refers to Requirements in the config. No where I see any links that is getting created. requirement.XLSStartRow=2 requirement.XLSArtifactID=A requirement.dc:title=B requirement.dc:description=C requirement.jzalm:owner=D requirement.dc:creator=D |
you can use testcase.requirement=Link(A)
to link testcase with requirement in different worksheet. you can refer to the Link() key word in https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RQMExcelWordImporter ExcelImporter 4.0 RC2 can be downloaded from jazz.net. @amavila,
yes in the technote there's a tool TestCaseUpdater to linked the requirement testcase and testscript that has the same external id. I think it's for RQM 2.0 server as mentioned "Note: This utility is tested with Rational Quality Manager 2.0.0.1 and applicable iFix releases only" you can use testcase.requirement=Link(A) Hi @amavila, Hi, The latest version of RQMExcelImporter is RQM-Extras-RQMExcelWordImporter-3.0.1.3 I don`t think 4.0 is released yet.
