Access sandbox from RTC Client

Leandro David (721719) | asked May 02 '12, 7:04 p.m.
Hi,

I want to try to use RTC in a Software Development class and I'm planning to use the RGC sandbox and try to track a small project for the class on it. I would like that my students use RTC Source Control system but for that it would be necessary to use RTC client to access the sandbox server.

Is it possible to access a sandbox project in jazz.net using RTC client? If yes, what is the URI for the repository connection or any other data needed ? I didn't find it at sandbox page.

Hi,

When you created your sandbox project you should have received an email which included information similar to this:

2. Configure an Eclipse client:
a. In your Rational Team Concert client for Eclipse, click File > Accept Team Invitation.
b. In the Accept Team Invitation dialog, copy and paste the text below into the Accept Invitation text field:

For CCM -
teamRepository=https://jazz.net/sandbox02-ccm
userId=bschimpf
userName=Brian Schimpf
projectAreaName=bschimpf's Project (Change and Configuration Management)

Please note that sandbox projects will only be maintained for a limited period of time. Check the timeframe information on the sandbox homepage at: https://jazz.net/development/sandbox/

Also, since this appears to be for academic use have you looked at JazzHub? https://jazz.net/hub/manager/

Thanks, Brian
