Problem with an active change set...

Karim Heredia (622) | asked Aug 06 '08, 4:16 a.m.
I set up synchronization between ClearCase and RTC without a problem.

In one occasion, one of the synchronizations failed because of a network problem. At that time, I couldn't fix the problem myself so I decided to remove the synchronized stream and all workspaces to configure synchronization again.

After doing that, I hit a wall in a particular file. The error seems to be that there is an active change set for that particular file which I need to complete. After looking for the history of that file, I noticed that there was an active change set on the date of my first failed synchronization.

My problem is that I cannot do anything with that change set, as it belongs to my previous synchronized stream. I cannot remove it, suspend it, nor reverse it.

Any advice on this would be great, as my whole synchronization is stopped at the moment because of this.

Thanks!

This problem of a change-set being left incomplete in that situation
will be fixed in the next patch release (if you'd like to try it out
before that release is available, you can download the integration build
posted to jazz.net ... hopefully by the end of this week).

Until then, the workaround is to login to the jazz server using your
ccsync account, and to complete the change set manually.

Cheers,
Geoff
